I tried to use Skype in remote Windows session. I used the latest Skype but I have problem with audio transfer via RDP.

Then I found some external solution Sound for Remote Desktop that allowed me to run Skype in remote Windows session and transfer sound in and out.

It does not require any complex configuration. I installed it, restarted session and got remote sound. Great tool! So if you need audio support in remote session, it's the right solution.
